Krauss
Maffei Injection exhibits at NPE 2009 in Chicago |
|
Krauss-Maffei GmbH
of Munich Germany will be exhibiting and demonstrating a number of injection
moulding machines at NPE 2009 – The International Plastics Show, held in
Chicago USA from June 22 – 26.
Krauss
Maffei will be on booth S36000, near the entrance to the south hall. |
|
The systems on display include:-
-
An all-electric AX Injection moulding machine with an integrated
linear robot. It will produce ABS/PC battery covers in a 4 cavity
mould with cycle times around 8s. A key feature of the machine is
the fully enclosed safety housing including the robot operating
zone. This solution enables a 25% space saving of the production
area, compared to equivalent systems.
-
A fast cycling C3 hybrid packaging machine will demonstrate the
production of 2C Closures (PP and TPE) in a 16+ 16 cavity mould with
10s cycle time. This 2 platen machine is engineered to facilitate
the use of large, heavy moulds. The C3 is suitable for running
complex multi-component moulds with an integrated turntable.
-
A 1000 ton clamp machine (MX1000-8100), for very large moulds will
be producing PP containers in 28s cycle times. The MX machine, with
a mechanical hydraulic 2 platen clamp, represents high speed and
precision. The plasticizing unit guarantees top melt quality and
parts are moved via the integrated LRX-S linear robot.
